This Rococo portrait masterpiece titled, Portrait of Prince Edward, Later Duke of Kent is made by the famous painter, Thomas Gainsborough using oil on canvas in 1782. He painted quickly and his later pictures are characterised by a light palette and easy strokes. He preferred landscapes to portraits. Cecil Kellaway portrayed Gainsborough in the 1945 film Kitty.
