Claude Monet (November 14, 1840 - December 5, 1926) is a representative French painter of impressionism. He was also known as 'the painter of light,' and he was a painter who pursued the change of light and color throughout his life, which was changing with time and season. Monet lived the longest among the painters of the Impressionist group, and even in the 20th century, he left many works including a series of "Suiren" (Water Lilies).
