The Victory of Austerlitz Two-Tone Coffee Mug

The Victory of Austerlitz Two-Tone Coffee Mug

The Battle of Austerlitz, fought on December 2, 1805, is often regarded as one of Napoleon Bonaparte's greatest victories and a masterpiece of military strategy. It took place near the town of Austerlitz in the Austrian Empire (modern-day Slavkov u Brna in the Czech Republic) during the War of the Third Coalition. Napoleon faced the Allied forces of Russia and Austria, commanded by Tsar Alexander I and Holy Roman Emperor Francis II. Recognizing that the Allies were vulnerable due to their extended lines, Napoleon devised a brilliant plan to lure them into a favourable position. He feigned weakness in the centre of his line, enticing the Allies to advance and then exploited the resulting gaps to encircle and defeat their forces. The battle, also known as the Battle of the Three Emperors, resulted in a decisive victory for the French. Napoleon's precise execution of manoeuvre warfare and his ability to concentrate forces at critical points led to the virtual destruction of the Allied army. The French suffered fewer casualties while inflicting heavy losses on the enemy. Austerlitz solidified Napoleon's reputation as a military genius and earned him the title "The Battle of the Sun of Austerlitz" from his troops. The defeat had significant diplomatic repercussions, leading to the Treaty of Pressburg, which reshaped the balance of power in Europe and marked the zenith of Napoleon's dominance on the continent.

Its' been a really great mug. I use it at the convenience store in the morning and they charge me as if it were a 12 ounce mug. No leaks, no falling over! Great! The printing matched my expectations and I like having my mug on my personal design.

I ordered these with interiors of yellow, red, maroon, pink, navy blue, and light blue. Note that the navy blue is VERY dark and looks black in some lighting. The mugs have survived 10 months of use so far! My friends were all very happy with them. Print turned out very clear. Colours were accurate. Thank you!
