A touching portrait of a young girl in the rain. She holds a large black umbrella to protect herself against the weather, but it seems to underline the feeling of inner vulnerability. There are scratches on the painting that seem to be made by purpose. Some of them drew off so much attention that I decided to remove them. Most of them I let alone since they seemed to add to the moodiness of the picture.
