The Red Squirrel Who Stuck Around Postcard

The Red Squirrel Who Stuck Around Taken 02.09.2014 at home, Stillwater, Maine. Initially there were two red squirrels and I did get a couple shots of both of them together while I was quite close, but suddenly one of them just "lost it". At first he was just 'chipping' and then suddenly, the much more urgent sounds turned into the 'startle call'. He ran underneath a kayak we have up against the house and from underneath snuck a look at me. As soon as he knew I was looking, he backed up and chirped even louder. The other one (the one in this photo) stuck around by the bird feeder even as the other had dashed off - at times, he looked over at him. It kinda looked like he was saying "What the hell is wrong with you?" while busily eating the dropped seeds on the ground.
