Beautiful artwork from the first edition of “East of the Sun and West of the Moon” (1914, Hodder & Stoughton, London) - Fifteen Norwegian tales collected by folklorists Peter Christen Asbjørnsen and Jørgen Engebretsen Moe and illustrated by phenomenal Kay Nielsen. “The North Wind goes over the sea” is from the first North tale in the book of the same name. The illustration depicts a ferocious North Wind, yet guess what? He isn’t as bad and scary as he looks! Stay enchanted and wondrous!
