The Necklace - A History Lesson Poster

This is an experimental posting. It is said, if we forget history we are doomed to repeat it. In this case, I feel all peoples can understand the urgency of a need to understand each other's viewpoints and cultures - not necessarily to agree, but to accept the validity of another's beliefs. It doesn't matter what the issue may be. This necklace was a gift; it gave me something totally unexpected and certainly not what the giver intended although I know she would have approved. The poem came from nowhere I can recognize, but it is symbolic as much as specific. My hope for the world is understanding and love and mutual respect. Call me a Pollyanna, but I do believe people are inherently good. It's a bit scary to put this on public display because its a poem from the heart (I'm not a very public person); we'll see what happens. It is posted under the category "Everything Else".
