The Moon and The Stars vintage Mucha postcard

this beautiful set of 4 maidens portraying the Moon and the Stars in the same way as his very popular " the Four Seasons " series. This is the handy work of Alfons Maria Mucha 1860-1939 who is best known as Alphonse Mucha the father of Art Nouveau painting. He was a Chech artist known best for his very bold distinct style, especially his advertisements. He was a prolific artist and produced many paintings, illustrations, advertisements, postcards, in his own style that became known as Art Nouveau. Mucha's works frequently featured beautiful young women in flowing vaguely neoclassical looking robes, as seen here often surrounded by lush flowers which sometimes formed haloes behind the women’s heads. this art is entitled " The Moon and Stars".
