Edmund Dulac created watercolors and illustrations for fairy tales and folk stories when he arrived in London from France in 1904. His lovely illustrations had an ethereal and delicate beauty. This image is called “The Mermaid King” and depicts the watery potentate feeding his pet eels.

The card itself is very nice with nice detail and font on the card. It comes with an envelope. However, it is not a true card being it is on nice stiff cardstock type paper but you have to write on the back of this card. For my purpose, it would be nice, if it were a fold type card where you write your message on the inside. So what I did was found some scrapbooking paper that coordinated with the card and placed it on that so it was a "true" card. It is a nice looking card.
