The Large (Great) Piece of Turf (1503) by artist Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528) is a vintage Renaissance fine art nature painting. Wild plants, grasses, weeds, roots and other foliage are growing in a meadow during the spring season. The various flora can be identified as cock's-foot, creeping bent, smooth meadow-grass, daisy, dandelion, germander speedwell, greater plantain, hound's-tongue and yarrow.
