The Inexhaustible Cup

This icon of the Mother of God is called "The Inexhaustible Cup" - an image of the Virgin , originating from the Vedenskiy Vladychna monastery in Serpukhov, Russia . Known since 1878 and is revered in the Russian Orthodox Church as miraculous. This symbol goes back to the Orans pose often seen in the early Christian catacombs and churches . Mary is depicted praying with uplifted hands, and the Infant Jesus is standing in a chalice and blessing with both hands representing the Holy Eucharist. This icon of the Blessed Mother and Baby Jesus in the opinion of the faithful, while praying in front of it can be healed from many diseases, including alcoholism, drug addiction, depression, and various dependency issues.
