The Flume Covered Bridge New Hampshire Postcard

This postcard features The Flume Covered Bridge over the Pemigewasset River in Franconia Notch State Park, New Hampshire. It was built in 1886 and is one of the oldest in the state. Covered bridges like this one were often called "kissing bridges" because of the darkness and privacy they provided. This bridge was built across the beautiful Pemigewasset River.
