The City of Unalaska, Alaska Postcard

The City of Unalaska is located on Unalaska Island. It was originally an Unangan village in the Aleutian Islands, but has grown into a larger community. An overview of the downtown area of the City of Unalaska is shown in this photo. Bunker Hill is on the Dutch Harbour side and Haystack Hill is on the Unalaska side of a bridge connecting Amaknak Island, where Dutch Harbour is located, to the much larger Unalaska Island, where the City of Unalaska is located. Unalaska Island is a part of the Aleutian island chain. It is also part of a smaller group of islands in the Aleutians called the Fox Islands.
