The Circle of Stars, American Flag by Betsy Ross 2 Inch Square Button
The Circle of Stars: The year was 1776, and the colonies were on the verge of declaring their independence from Great Britain. A committee was formed to design a flag that would represent the new nation, and they sought the help of a skilled seamstress named Betsy Ross. - Ross was known for her patriotism and her talent for needlework, and she was eager to contribute to the cause of liberty. The committee presented her with their initial design, which featured six pointed stars arranged in a straight line on a blue field. - Ross, however, had some suggestions. She proposed that the stars be changed to five points, as they were easier to sew and more aesthetically pleasing. She also suggested that the stars be arranged in a circle, rather than a straight line, to symbolize the unity and equality of the colonies. - The committee was impressed with Ross's ideas, and they agreed to her suggestions. Ross set to work, carefully sewing the new flag with its thirteen alternating red and white stripes and thirteen white stars arranged in a circle on a blue field. - When the flag was finished, Ross presented it to the committee, who were delighted with the result. They immediately recognized the power and symbolism of the new design. - The circle of stars, Ross explained, represented the perpetual union of the colonies, bound together in a circle of friendship and mutual support. The thirteen stars and stripes stood for the thirteen original colonies, each one equal and united in the pursuit of liberty. - The committee was so impressed with Ross's design that they immediately adopted it as the official flag of the United States. And so, the Betsy Ross flag, with its circle of stars, became a powerful symbol of American patriotism and unity, representing the enduring bond between the colonies and the promise of a new nation. - the copyright holder "DevinCook" of this work, release this version of Betsy Ross Flag into the public domain. The 8 pins I ordered for committee members were perfect. They turned out better than I expected! Liked them so much I ordered an additional pin with a different design and again I was pleased with the result. Pleased with everything about my order.

Round Button, Small, 1¼ Inch
Shipping to Canada isn't cheap, but it's been totally worth it! I ordered the square buttons with the white background. They are larger than I expected, making them standout and draw attention. I changed the text to: "Not all cancer is pink. Anal cancer awareness". It's been almost impossible to find products for anal cancer, as it's a rare cancer. The design and printing are clear, though the text is quite small. It's not a huge problem though as most people have to ask what the design means, as anal cancer is rare. It's a good way to start conversations.
