I created this illustration of "The Christmas Walk in Geneva" using pen & ink and watercolor tones. Always the first weekend in December, the Great Tree on the Kane County Courthouse lawn is lit, with Santa making a grand appearance by horse and carriage along with the Santa Lucia singers. Third Street is closed for the event, with carolers and roasted chestnuts filling the crisp night air. Shops are open late, some serving festive drinks and snacks. I hope it warms your heart and reminds you of simpler times.
