The Apple Tree (by Gustav Klimt) Tote Bag
This design features artwork by Gustav Klimt (1862–1918), who was an Austrian symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Secession movement. The painting featured in this design shows a beautiful apple tree bearing fruit, bright red apples hanging from its boughs. The image is painted with such an incredible range of colour that it can only bring great joy to the viewer. It is an elegant depiction of an apple tree that is clearly influenced by the impressionist movement. There are at least four distinct points of reference in this painting: the larger flowers in the foreground, the field between them and the tree, the tree itself and the lush foliage in the distance. Moreover, the central tree can be seen as a symbol of fertility, growth and the joys of nature. The original artwork was completed in 1912.
