This is a religious thank you card in Amharic (Ethiopian language). The card says "May God grant you [in return]" which is usually what Ethiopians say to thank someone. Ancient Ethiopians believed God is the one to be thanked directly - not the individual. So they thank you through God He who is the source of everything. Nowadays, it is common to see people using the word "Ameseginalehu" which means "thank you." Ethiopians still appreciate the former.
