I was gobsmacked to read a PLoS paper published on June 15th, 2017 by Lourenço-de-Oliveira R, Failloux A-B (2017) called "Lessons learned on Zika virus vectors". PLoS Negl Trop Dis 11(6): e0005511. https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pntd.0005511 The authors referred to the study by Guo et al. 2016 as "one discordant study" that found Culex to be Zika vectors. The next day I discovered the paper by Elizondo-Quiroga et al. 2017 titled "Zika Virus in Salivary Glands of Five Different Species of Wild-Caught Mosquitoes from Mexico" which also confirmed Culex as Zika vectors. So, I decided to create some Zazzle products to help fund ethical Zika research and my Zika documentary.
