Teotihuacán Mexico Postcard

This massive Mesoamerican archaeological site is famous for its grid layout and monumental pyramids. The Pyramid of the Sun is one of the largest structures of its type in the Western Hemisphere. The 'Avenue of the Dead' connects the Pyramid of the Sun with the Pyramid of the Moon and the Citadel. Teotihuacán was a major urban centre in the pre-Columbian Americas, flourishing between 100 BCE and 550 CE. Its origins and the language spoken by its inhabitants remain largely mysterious.
