Takeda Shingen Tiger of Kai Caligraphy Art Poster

Takeda Shingen Tiger of Kai Caligraphy Art Poster

武田信玄: Takeda Shingen, was a pre-eminent daimyo in feudal Japan with exceptional military prestige in the late stage of the Sengoku period. During his conquests in the eastern regions of Japan, he clashed with several prominent historical figures. After his death, Shingen has been romanticized as a masterful strategist and a thorough study of Sun Tzu, even going as far to adopt the Furinkazan as his banner. 甲斐の虎: "The Tiger of Kai" is the nickname given to Takeda Shingen for his martial prowess on the battlefield, while his rival Uesugi Kenshin was called "The Dragon of Echigo". In Eastern mythology, the Dragon and Tiger have always been bitter rivals who try to defeat one another, but neither is ever able to gain the upper hand, these name is referring to the war between them at Kawanakajima, where both of them fought multiple time but unable to defeat each other. 風林火山: Fu Rin Ka Zan, each word represent Wind, Woods, Fire and Mountain, is the words that used on Takeda Shingen flag in battle. The words is taken from The Art of War, which an army should move like "wind", silence or dicipline like "woods", attack like "fire" and defend like "moutain". In the background is the kamon (family crest) of Uesugi, Takeda bishi (武田菱) or "Takeda Diamond", following another version of Takeda bishi in flower form, on top is the samurai signature of Shingen.

My Bible verse postcard, turned out excellent. I love it and have it already framed. It was so reasonably priced for something done so well. Thank you to Zazzle and the artist! I thought it looked exactly like what I ordered. Perfect.

Poster is printed clearly, good quality . Inclusive of many prints . The shipping was the problem. Box was flimsy and item got bent.. only suggestion would have been to put in a canister or mark fragile. Printing was exactly as shown
