Takeda Diamond Stationery
The Takeda family crest has been passed down through generations. It is said to have originated from Minamoto no Yoshimitsu, the founder of the Kai Genji clan, who was instructed by a divine oracle to adorn his armor with a divided diamond shape. (From 'A Guide to Understanding the Family Crests of Sengoku Warlords') Takeda Shingen (1521-1573) descended from Minamoto no Yoshikiyo, son of Minamoto no Yoshimitsu. The family came to be known as the Takeda clan after they settled in Kai no Takeda Manor. (From 'The Family Crests and Flags of Samurai Families' by Kenichi Takahashi)
