About This Design
Takamori Saigo Stationery
The Nishigo family has a crest-shaped crest called 'Kakigiku' with two leaves holding 16 petals. This was granted by the Emperor Meiji in recognition of his great achievements in the Meiji Restoration, and the Emperor said, 'I am the central flower, and I am the two you hold. You should support us from both sides and do your best to suppress the whole country." (It is said that Takamori SAIGO left a will to 'make Nanshu Giku a lifetime' under the supervision of Kiji NIWA, 'I know the family crest.') (Kiji NIWA's "Maruari Nihon no Kamon")/This design was based on "Nanshu-giku" (Chrysanthemum on Nanshu) published in "Shoji Monsho Okuni Meguri Saigoku-hen" (The Western Part of the Country Tour) by Kiji NIWA (2013/8/11)
