Because Kiri-mon was a symbol of auspiciousness and authority along with Kikuka-mon, it was used as a pattern of armor, swords and accessories from ancient times, but since it was applied to general handicrafts in the Hideyoshi era, Kiri-mon became popular before the time of Hideyoshi, and there was little use of this pattern from clothing accessories to architectural sculpture, and it was called Taiko-kiri, and it was a form of heroic character, so-called Taiko-kiri, and there is no application of this pattern for Momoyama period art works ("Nihon Mongaku")
