I took this photo of a little goldfinch in a small boy's hands and wrote the verse to go along with it. It occurred to me that this would be a very touching card to send someone who has lost a child; however, it could also be used in thanksgiving for nature's bountiful blessings that come unexpectedly and are gone before we know it.
