SylviasStory Heart Shakespeare Ornament

Sylvia's mom loves the writing William Shakespeare. While writing about Sylvia, Christina remembered this quote from "Hamlet." It fits perfectly into Sylvia's Story. Sylvia fought her battle on life support with a fervour that shocked everyone. She held on much longer than anyone expected, gifting more time for medical professionals to learn important information which has already helped to save lives. Her daddy would always say she had, "the eye of the tiger." Her tenacity was something to be admired. This quote also represents the countless Congenital Heart Disease patients still fighting every single day. They are some of the toughest people we have ever met, and face more challenges (and often at young ages) than most of us will have to endure in a lifetime. Sylvia's Story does not have an end date. October 11th, 2016 may have been the day she left earth, but it started a new chapter in her story which lit a fire deep inside the hearts of Sylvia's parents to keep fighting for the well-being of all CHD families and to honour her legacy. Sylvia instilled her fight into our hearts. We will not sleep on her story. We will not sleep on striving to improve the quality of life for CHD patients and their loved ones. We will not sleep on supporting those who grieve their children. We hope this quote encourages you to keep persevering through trials. *From now until December 31st, all proceeds will go towards CHD research in honour of Sylvia's December 14th birthday. Donations will be given to the Congenital Heart Disease research lab, run by Dr. Si, who was instrumental in Sylvia's care while at Mott Children's Hospital.
