Sweet Pea Fairy Postcard

Janiece Senn My grand daughter came to me a few weeks ago. It was a rainy day and she wanted to do crafts. She asked me if I had any cardboard because she wanted to make a scientific fairy research journal, which totally cracked me up and excited me to jump in and help. I had the perfect size piece of cardboard in my truck and I taught her how to take blue and white and swirl them together to make clouds. I showed her how green and yellow and just a tiny touch of blue made wonderful grass when applied in choppy strokes. I taught her more about mixing primary colours together to make secondary colours and how to spell the names of the colours. She drew her fairies on news print, coloured them in and used scissors to cut them out and paste them on the background she'd just painted. We Made up stories of fairy adventures and types of fairies we might try to find. It was fun and we have worked on some pages since then. Then I had the idea to make my own scientific fairy research journal that I will be gifting her with for her birthday at the end of August as a memory she can have of her grandma nana when I'm returned to my soul form. You will be seeing many fairies, sprites, elves and nymphs floating through my shop between now and Aug. 31st. lol
