Sun Stone of Tenochtitlan Jigsaw Puzzle

Art based on the Sun Stone of Tenochtitlan, representing key elements of the Mayan calendar and mythology. The original stone is thought to have been created during the 15th-century AD with its completion date of 1479. The overall composition is very complex and represents a high level of knowledge of astronomy and cosmic cycles. In this composition two Tlalocs are shown holding up the disc of the sky. The bottom band depicts the design carved into the edge of the original stone disc, with alternating obsidian blades and emblems of the planet Venus.
