Warm bright sunlight and deep cool shadows play well together in a (mostly) dry creek bed, and in the surrounding woods. This photo was taken in the mountains of Tennessee, near Coalfield. It was July, so the creek was nearly dry from the heat of summer. Photo by Brent Wiggins, and used here with his permission.
