Sumac Focus Throw Pillow
The day I buried my beloved Ruby-dog, I was moved to capture the brilliance of the sumac leaves against the sky. I took that as a gift from her. Recreating these bright cheerful colours in paint was balm to my heart. This print was begun in mono print acrylics and then scanned and digitally composed. What I love about monprinting in this way are the playful textures and organic variation in colour.

Love the fabric and the vibrant colours. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the pillows were slightly smaller than 41 x 41 cm. I was disappointed with that. The printing turned out excellent!
