A magical place in the depths of the mysterious Gobi, Shambhala Land is located at Khamar Monastery, a Buddhist monastery located in Dornogov Province, Mongolia. It was founded by the "Great and Terrible Saint of the Gobi" Danzan Ravjaa over 150 years ago. Destroyed by the Communists in the 1930s, it is being rebuilt by the faithful who remain devoted to Danzan Ravjaa.
