Stunning Spirulina Ceramic Tile

Stripes of green, spiral shaped microorganisms called Spirulina stretch across a sunny yellow background. These cyanobacteria from the genus Spirulina or Arthrospira are photosynthetic and often found in alkaline, or basic, freshwater lakes, though some species are found in saltwater habitats. Cyanobacteria are an important producer of oxygen, and species from the genus Arthrospira have been used as a high protein food supplement. This tile can be framed to create a trivet or placed inside a wooden gift box lid. Tiles without a frame will also fit inside the large gift box to create a matching set.
