Stratosphere Las Vegas photo by urbanphotos.net. Stratosphere used to be Bob Stupak's Vegas World. The tower is 109 stories high and you can ride a fast elevator up to the top for around $12 (the cost in 2009.) In addition to the excellent 360 degree view, there is a restaurant up there and some thrill rides. One of the rides is kind of like a sled that gets pushed off the top of the tower for a second then is pulled back just in time to save you from falling the 1,149 foot distance to the ground.
