Strange heads, with vaguely apprehensive expressions and crazy hairdos, plus fruit, plus what look like early steering wheels. Found in an 1890 German-language book I have, full of colour prints of design motifs from many eras and cultures, this print was found on one of the pages on the Italian Renaissance. As you might assume they look strange – and yet AWESOME – on all kinds of EVERYTHING. Note that the print appears on both sides of the pillow, in mirror image, and that the background colour is red on one side, blue on the other. Which is nice. Wanna see more old?
