Stormy Seas of the Atlantic Ocean Jigsaw Puzzle

It was an overcast day on Long Beach Island. A northeaster passes by offshore and dark grey cumulus clouds loom heavy over a stormy sea. As the curl of a wave reaches its crest, a westerly wind creates a wispy spray as the wave culminates in a long tube breaking in the middle. A gull is seen along the edge of the surf, just upland of rough whitewater, as the breakers and waves come crashing ashore. Seacape photography was taken during a noreaster, at the Jersey Shore on the northern end of LBI.
