Upperdeck

Upperdeck started back in December of 07'. Hometown: Indian Head, Maryland The up-and-coming Christian Melodic Metalcore band Upperdeck was started as a pop-punk band by Mike “Paco” Gottselig, former drummer of such bands as “Even Steven, and “Shattered Reality”. He one day asked Wesley if he and his sister, Nikki, wanted to be in a band with him and his wife Jenn. Wesley agreed, as did Nikki, and the first practice went amazing. Devin was added the week later, and they went through some bass players before finally completing it with Cameron. With influences like Flyleaf, Metallica, The Devil Wears Prada and Evanescence they quickly realized pop-punk just wasn't their thing, they decided to “metal it up” a little. With Dueling guitar riffs, Lightning fast double kick, intricate bass lines, and to top it all off insanely awesome chic singer and a classically trained piano player converted to keyboards laying down the backbone of Upperdeck's sound. Upperdeck has often been described as a “Modern Iron Maiden”. So listen, enjoy, and come out to a show sometime and say “Wazzupp!”
