The printing was a little less vivid than I expected, but it was just as I designed it. Therefore, I was pleased.

The thick and heavy marble is elegant and durable. Cork backing prevents scratching of table. Nice rustic texture with natural pitting and chippy edges.

When ordered wasn't sure how image would turn out on travertine...because it is porous...but it was perfect and the image was just great. Now I can think of many things that this tile magnet would be so cute for...business...wedding date reminder...children's school notes or things they made!!!

Originally bought this in sandstone, because it is a desert scene. It did not print well. Marble, however. is clear and sharp.

The coaster is marble. It will break if dropped or hit too hard, as my daughter discovered. Also, there were options for other stone. I had originally tried this design in sandstone, since it is a desert scene, but it did not print well on that. It prints beautifully on the white marble. Has a cork back. Works excellently as a coaster and the ink holds nicely.

Again, on White Marble the design looks great. On sandstone, which was an option when I purchased before, not so much.

We ordered these for our graduates in our department. Everyone was delighted with them.

I have received many compliments on these coasters and they have withheld very well with extreme heat from a mug and the condensation from a glass without ruining any of my wood surfaces.

I actually bought 2 Traverine Tiles, one with the shiny finish and one that was more natural, porous stone. I would definitely choose the shiny one if you plan to use it any other way aside from placing hot dishes on. My original intention was to place messy spoons and things on while cooking. However, I'm not even sure if the porous one is washable. The glossy finished one is a gift for a friend for housesitting. She's going to love it!
