As a nightlight this one is very functional. The art is attractive, but I bought it to replace an Italian glass night light that broke and the light shining through it was always so pretty. This one is just plastic so not as much of an artistic statement as the glass one. It's also a little too big because it just barely covers the plug-in spot next to it so I cannot plug anything into that one at the same time, which is inconvenient. Third problem is it must plugged into an upright plug, not a horizontal one as many are in my old house.

I love this night light, it looks quite a bit like my own Pomeranian. It is in her little eating and sleeping area, an alcove we call "The Dog Room". It was recently remodeled and redecorated, so this Pom light is plugged into a high up outlet on a faux brick wall. It looks great!
