This design features a painting by Edmund Blair Leighton (1852–1922), who was was an English painter of historical genre scenes; he specialized in Regency and Medieval subjects. It shows a beautiful woman who is carefully stitching a traditional European flag; she is sitting on the crenellations of a stone castle. A tall tower can be seen in the distance. It is a romanticized image of historical life. The original painting was produced in 1911.
