A couple messages in here: 1) A person is a person, with ideas and feelings and the same human rights and need for respect, however they were created. Just like the rainbow here doesn't lose value in it's differentness, so too, a person. 2) People with autism tend to find alternative ways to meet needs and wants, than do "neurotypical" people - in this case, making a rainbow out of puzzle pieces, but making it differently. I have a friend with autism. People blindly miss that he understands them, that he has opinions, that he gets jokes. They miss the fact that he cares about his friends and family. People have a lot to learn, to negate the stereotypes of the past. This shirt helps spread that knowledge.
