Stickers - Coloured Pencils

Many may not be aware, but there are several different types of coloured pencils. The artist grade pencils, as you might expect, have a higher concentration and higher quality of pigment, more resistant to UV rays. There are student/business coloured pencils, not as colour intense and lightfastness is not really a consideration. Though limited in colours available, there are also refill "leads" for mechanical coloured pencils. Also used as art medium, there are also watercolor pencils (which, amazingly enough, can be used wet or dry) and pastel pencils, which are harder than standard pastels and can be sharpened, like a pencil. Coloured pencils are also called pencil crayons, because of their artistic applications (of course) but also because they are not graphite, like the usual "No. 2" pencil. Artistic and business/scholastic coloured pencils have wax- or oil-based cores. Strangely enough, though the use of crayons can be traced back to the Greek Golden Age, it was as recently as the early twentieth century that artist-quality coloured pencils actually went into production. This design is so much fun! A line of sharpened, coloured pencils appear to have been dragged across a sheet of plain paper, leaving a line in their wake. Greens, blues, oranges -- colourful and whimsical, these fabulous stickers are perfect as library/books plates as lines are provided for you writing in identifying information; they are also perfect for scrapbooking -- especially for journalling entries.
