State of Michigan Flag Tile

This design features the flag of Michigan, a state in the Great Lakes and Midwestern regions of the United States. Its name comes from the Native American word "mishigami", meaning "large water" or "large lake". The flag of the state of Michigan depicts the state's coat of arms on a dark blue background. The design features three Latin mottos. "E Pluribus Unum" means "Out of many, one," a motto of the United States; "Tuebor" means "I will defend"; and "Si Quæris Peninsulam Amœnam Circumspice," means "If you seek a pleasant peninsula, look about you", which is the official state motto. A resident of Michigan is known as a Michigander or Michiganian. The state capital of Michigan is Lansing. Other major cities and towns in Michigan include Detroit, Grand Rapids, Warren, Sterling Heights, Ann Arbor, Dearborn, Clinton Charter Township, Canton Charter Township and Livonia. The ten largest counties in Michigan state are Wayne County, Oakland County, Macomb County, Kent County, Genesee County, Washtenaw County, Ottawa County, Ingham County, Kalamazoo County and Livingston County.
