Stargazer Lily Bouquet Postcard

A stargazer lily bouquet is a bright splash of pink and green on a dramatic square black background. Spider mums, gerbera daisies and pink and white carnations round out the bouquet. Lilium 'Stargazer' (the Stargazer lily) is a hybrid lily of the Oriental group. Oriental lilies are known for their fragrant perfume, blooming mid-to-late summer. The Stargazer lily was created in 1974 by Leslie Woodriff, a lily breeder in California. Woodriff called the new cross 'Stargazer', because the blooms faced towards the sky. As beautiful as they are, stargazer lilies are toxic to cats, so keep them away from your feline friends. This photograph is rendered in a watercolor style.
