This beautiful medieval engraving by the great Alsatian artist Martin Schongauer shows St. Christopher carrying the Christ Child -- the incident that led to this gentle giant being the saint we pray to for safe travel. At the bottom of this artwork you can see Martin Schongauer's initials. You may wish to leave this picture as is, because it does not need colour. However it would be an adventure to colour, and a joy to collaborate with the great Schongauer. The shadows are already there -- all you need to do is add the colour in between. This design should also work for larger poster sizes. I thought big!
