St. Apollonia with Pulled Tooth (Nuremberg) Rubber Stamp

St. Apollonia with Pulled Tooth (Nuremberg) Rubber Stamp

Our St. Apollonia of Alexandria rubber stamp reproduces an antique woodcut from The Nuremberg Chronicle (Liber Chronicarum). Written by Hartmann Schedal, The Chronicle is an illustrated, encyclopedic account of world history to the end of the 15th century (and beyond to the Last Judgment). Its content was derived from mythology, the Bible, and various Medieval Chronicles. It was published in the city of Nuremberg by Anton Koberger in July 1493 in Latin and, a few months later, in December in vernacular German. The Chronicle is especially noteworthy for its unprecedented use of illustrations: 645 original woodcuts were produced for its publication. While many woodcuts were reused more than once in the text with the captions simply changed, nevertheless, the volume boasts 1089 pictures in toto. + St. Apollonia, who had her teeth pulled or knocked out by an angry anti-Christian mob during a riot, is the patron saint of dentistry. + Feast: February 9

I use this stamp on paper, and on wood. So happy I ordered it. The archival ink pad included works very well with the stamp! Exquisite detail, & clean print.

Custom rubber stamps are soooo expensive when it comes to large sizes that I needed for my small business. From placing my order to receiving my stamp, everything was easy and fast. The stamp is excellent quality and I use it regularly for my Puraka Studios small business. I am so pleased that I will be ordering another stamp from them soon. Don't look anywhere else. Crisp and perfect just like the my logo.

Easy to use and great quality! The colours were exactly what was shown online. The stamp looks like our business logo with no missing edges or curves
