A mug showing off a handsome male spotted salamanders. These salamanders get their name from their striking colour pattern of yellow spots on a black skin. Most of the year they are hidden underground, but they emerge from burrows in the spring, travel to vernal pools to mate and lay eggs, then return to their terrestrial homes for the rest of the year.

I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
