The season when transorbital shipping picks up its pace, travelers take off for parts unknown, and a young person's thoughts turn to bursting through all those bulkheads and gathering up the plunder. Spring! The season when we maroon helpless captives on remote asteroids, with some bland rations and just... enough... oxygen! This version of the Space Pirate emblem remakes the Jolly Roger of olden days, replacing its crossed bones with a pair of ray guns. Because. Because in Spring, a ray gun is a pirate's best friend. Unlike Autumn, when... well, a ray gun is still a pirate's best friend. Hang on a minute, there. Okay. Got it. While there is no season when a ray gun is not a pirate's best friend, they're different in some other way. I may need to get back to you.
