From the largest and most comprehensive cartographic collection in the world, Zazzle brings you this commemorative card featuring a panoramic view of the city of South Fork, Pennsylvania was originally drawn by T. M. Fowler in 1900. South Fork Creek can be seen in the background. When the dam on a creek burst on May 31, 1889 the ensuing flood resulted in the catastrophic destruction of Johnstown - 14 miles downstream, and the loss of over 2200 lives. The map identifies the street names and points of interest in South Fork.
