Soldier Mom is a full length, two act play with original music that smuggles an audience across military lines into a war zone of current controversy -- women in combat! Traditionally, the so-called "Risk Rule" prevented women from marching into "harm's way." On October 1, 1994, this decree was rescinded. Soldier Mom, honoured by the Gulf War Veterans Association for accurately portraying the lives of solders, confronts the issues surrounding this inciteful decision which holds the potential for social significance comparable to the passage of women's suffrage.
