My dad is one of the best dads and grandfathers on the planet. When I told him that one day after he'd done something ridiculously generous for my daughter, his eyes filled with tears and he said, "I never had a dad or a grandfather who did things like this, so I became one." My hope is that this mug will be a reminder that each and every one of us can fill our own empty spaces by becoming for others what we wish that others had been for us, thereby healing the wounds of the past and creating a whole new story for the future.
