This particular shop is located in Florida, its a union shop, and has almost no one under 20 years old. Which seems normal today, but back in those days, kids did the grunt work. This is also an equal opportunity employer they seem to have a nice mix of both male and female workers doing the same thing. This cigar factory employed around 60 people. Conditions were dark, and hot. As you can see a lot of people stripped off their collars and suspenders, many of them hanging off of chairs, or just sitting around. It probably gets pretty sunny there as well, there are a lot of improvised curtains set up.
